Amy Steinberg is a singer, songwriter, and storyteller like none other; "singular" is the word that best describes her. By marrying the sacred and profane, fusing the dreamlike nature of the sacred and spiritual with the physical reality of sexuality and humor, she is at once both uplifting and hilarious.
With a voice that can burn a house down and a high-energy rhythmic bounce, she accompanies herself on piano and guitar, injecting shades of jazz, rock, hip hop, and poetry, all with a seriously theatrical flair. Deeply soulful and with a bombastic belt, she sings of self-love, open-mindedness, and the holiness of everything.
Deeply involved with the New Thought and Positive Music world, Amy is in-demand for conferences and festivals all over the country. Her song "Burning into the High" won the Personal Transformation award at the 2016 Posi Awards, and she has been performing throughout the country in support of her 10th release, "Broken Open" to rave reviews.
Recently, Amy’s original musical, Breaking the Moon, was featured at the New York Musical Festival. Formerly Music Director at the Boca (FL) Center for Spiritual Living and The Spiritual Living Center of Charlotte (NC,) she has just taken on a new position as Music Director for the Universal Spirit Center in San Diego (CA.) This concert will be her first on the west coast since moving to San Diego in early June. It promises to be a rousing, touching, unforgettable evening.
