Small Groups
Thursday Book Group
We are currently reading “The Power of Meow.”
Meets: Thursdays 10 – 11:30 AM
GreenFaith Circle
GreenFaith Circle members believe that protecting the Earth is a sacred act, and that environmental stewardship is a moral responsibility. We pray, meditate and reflect to reconnect with the Earth. We align with and work toward fulfilling the Centers for Spiritual Living’s Global Vision of “a world that works for everyone and all of creation.”
We will be studying “Deep Ecology for the 21st Century” edited by George Sessions. We also will be using videos and other resources offered by the GreenFaith organization, a multi-faith climate and environmental movement.
Meets: Tuesdays 7 – 8:30 PM
Men of RCSL Group
The Men of RCSL come together to discuss issues that require facing the facts, such as: black lives matter, social injustice, voting, sickness, celebrations, etc. We commune to build social awareness and trust in the communities we serve. And… we love to have a good time! Past outings include bowling, billiards, and putt putt golf to name a few.
Meets: Wednesdays 7 – 8:30 PM
Raven’s Call
Have you noticed how quickly time passes these days?
Raven’s Call is an opportunity to reach deeper into awareness of the seasons and natural tides that surround us, to pause and reflect, to notice the changes within and around us as we measure time by the turning season.
Together we discuss and share seasonal themes and insights sparked by music, art, poetry and meditation.
Meets: 1st Saturdays @ 9:00 AM
RCSL Sacred Grace Women’s Group
Are you ready to have and form a deeper connection with other like-minded women in the RCSL Community? The Sacred Grace Women’s Group at RCSL is designed for individuals to learn and grow in a safe, confidential space to spiritually connect with loving, open minded new friends, while also being involved in service to the community.
Meets: Fridays 6 – 7:30 PM
Questions?
What is the purpose of a small group?
When do groups meet?
WHEN DO GROUPS MEET
Our Spring SpiritGroups will meet weekly for 9 weeks. You may choose a weekday and time that fits your schedule and interests.
Weekly meetings are typically 90 minutes long and include prayer and/or meditation, exploration of a spiritual theme, and group discussion. Groups meet at various times and days of the week, as determined by the group host.
Where do groups meet?
WHERE DO GROUPS MEET?
The SpiritGroups mostly meet online, using Zoom. There are a few groups who do meet in person.
What is the time commitment?
WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT?
We know you’re busy. One of the great things about SpiritGroups is that the commitment is for a limited number of weeks. Some groups continue to meet cycle after cycle, while other groups or group members take a break in between launches. Choose a group that meets and a time and/or location that is convenient for you to make it easy! When you sign-up for a group, please know that you are making a commitment to attend each session for that cycle. If you do have to miss a session, just let your group host know.
What groups are available?
WHERE CAN I SEE A LIST OF THE AVAILABLE GROUPS?
Group offerings vary from cycle to cycle. You can see our current groups at the top of this page.
I don't see a group in my area and/or preferred time slot.
I DON’T SEE A GROUP IN MY AREA AND/OR PREFERRED TIME SLOT
Our groups are led by volunteers; wherever and whenever we have willing and trained hosts- that’s where and when our groups will be! If you don’t see a group that interests you, or at a convenient time, consider hosting or co-hosting a group. If you are interested in finding out more about being a host, please contact Ed Ryan, our SpiritGroups program leader.
